Philosophy
I ask each of my clients about their goals and expectations. I pride myself on the often difficult task of giving them an honest opinion on whether or not those goals can be obtained and if so, how to meet and exceed them.
When an owner brings a horse to me to sell, I work to continue the horse's educational process in order to enhance marketability. One of my strengths when marketing horses is working diligently to match a horse and rider for a successful winning team. It is very important to recognize rider strengths and weaknesses. It is then I can match those abilities to a horse which possesses the personality and training level which will help increase the rider's confidence and be a partner in reaching the rider's goals. As an example, I would not match a sensitive horse with an aggressive rider. Conversely, a passive rider would not benefit from a lazy horse.
I endeavor to teach my students to be true horsemen. There is more to horse ownership than riding. A true horseman understands nutrition, lameness, physical fitness, communication, and the total care of the horse.
